Party Drinks: Inspirational Styling

There is something really special about milk bottles and paper straws. Who would have thought smoothies and lemonade could be served so elegantly? Drinks are a really important part of any party table, especially for children who use most of their party energy excitedly running around and playing games together. We particularly love the washi tape flags courtesy of Catch My Party and the vibrancy of Hello Naomi’s homemade lemonade. How inspiring. Keep your eyes peeled for an exciting series of tutorials where we will experiment with some delicious party tipples. The weather is beginning to get warmer here in the UK, so it is the perfect time for experimentation – and pretty picnics of course!

Pretty Pastel Party: Styling Inspiration

ImageImageImageImageImageImage

These colours remind me of warm sunny days and pretty picnics. Overall, the theme is fairly simplistic but everything has been styled so beautifully which gives it such special charm. The sweetie bags are an excellent idea for children’s party favours and the stickers not only compliment the theme, they add an element of suprise to the table. Who knows what is inside the bags? I imagine the children LOVED them whatever it was. The artwork on the wall is also such a fabulous idea for keeping children entertained and sparking their creativity. The paper cups, paper decorations and balloons definitely brighten up the room. I would love to walk into a room with those in sight. Thank you for the wonderful inspiration Griottes you certainly know how to throw a party.

Ice Cream Party: Styling Inspiration

I am continuously amazed by the ideas, talent and creativity that people all over the world have for party styling. It is completely fantastic that so many of these party photographs are available online . It allows people like us to become overly excited, inspired and extremely giddy. This ice cream themed party was styled and hosted by Just Call Me Martha for her daughter back in 2011. You can really see the level of enjoyment and fine attention to detail which has gone into every single aspect. Leoni’s inspiration came from being asked to make an ice cream cake and the rest is history. I love the milkshakes, favours, sundae dishes and the overall pastel colour scheme. I imagine those little girls had the most amazing time and that’s what it’s all about. (But it’s great if the adults can have their fun with the organising too… which has clearly happened here!)
